Two months after the Notre-Dame fire, the text signed by Loïc Bertrand, Philippe Janvier, Denis Gratias & Catherine Bréchignac, underlines the role of multidisciplinary research in the restoration, conservation and preservation of tangible heritage.
Referring to the World Meeting "Heritage, Science and Technology" organised in February 2019, the authors call for the signature of Paris Declaration, which defends the inclusion of heritage studies in the mission statements of research organisations, cultural institutions and funding agencies. This Declaration has already been signed by more than 400 scientists and experts from all over the world.
