Ipanema in Science magazine

The magazine echoes the public hearing on Notre-Dame’s restoration

publié le , mis à jour le

The American magazine Science published an article reporting the public hearing organised by the "Office parlementaire d’évaluation des choix scientifiques" (OPESCT) on the role of science in the Notre-Dame-de-Paris restoration project.

Tania Rabesandratana, author of the article, refers to the audition of the Director of Ipanema, by the French Parliament. She highlights the role played by Ipanema in the study of ancient materials and the SOLEIL synchrotron’s offer of a priority ticket to the facility’s 5% of “rapid access” beam time.

The article also mentions the DIM’s call for projects, which will be launched in collaboration with the CNRS and the Ministry of Culture. This will fund research related to the restoration site, as well as state-of-the-art equipment.
