In the framework of the World Meeting on Heritage, Sciences and Technologies, the Paris Declaration Heritage, Sciences and Technologies : an opportunity for our societies and the global economy has been adopted.

This Declaration is a call for action through the mobilization of knowledge to improve the understanding, preservation and enhancement of cultural and natural heritage in order to promote sustainable development.
In particular, the signatories call on countries and institutions to include heritage studies in the mission statements of research organizations, cultural institutions and funding agencies and interdisciplinary training and recruitment.

The Declaration was officially presented on 15 February 2019 at the closing of the Frontiers in Heritage Science scientific symposium. Throughout the World Meeting, participants who so wished have since join the declaration, including Webber Ndoro, president of ICCROM, the ministers Costa Fotakis (Greece), Jose Braga de Macedo (Portugal) and Hany Helal (Egypt), Antoine Petit, President of CNRS, Bruno David, President of the French National Museum of Natural History and Sylvie Retailleau, President of the University of Paris-Saclay.
