The kick-off meeting of E-RIHS PP (Preparatory Phase) project took place on 30 and 31 March 2017 in Florence (Italy). This event gathered members of the 20 partner organizations of the project and several observers (like the Museum of Art History of Vienna or the Swedish National Heritage Board) and supporting institutions (like ICCROM).
E-RIHS PP project started in February 2017 and will last for 3 years. It is funded by the European Commission (Horizon 2020, INFRADEV-02.2016 project). Following E-RIHS identification in the ESFRI roadmap in 2016, E-RIHS PP project aims at preparing the implementation of the European infrastructure, mainly in terms of legal statutes and governance. An important aspect is also the formulation of E-RIHS scientific strategy. IPANEMA is involved in the majority of the project’s work packages, and coordinates more specifically the task dedicated to the development of the scientific priorities.
E-RIHS PP kick-off why preceded by a one day workshop entitled « Towards a European research Infrastructure for Heritage Science » whose objective was to present E-RIHS and its perspectives to a larger audience.
