Seventh interim meeting of E-RIHS PP in Aachen (Germany)

The Seventh interim meeting of the EU-funded project E-RIHS PP (European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science - Preliminatory Phase) took place on April 10, 2019 at the Institut für Technische und Makromolekulare Chemie, in Aachen University. Ipanema’s team was present.

The participants first discussed the access policy of the future infrastructure. This roundtable, which was moderated by E-RIHS coordinator Luca Pezzati (CNR) initated a reflexion that must be lead further. Matija Strlic (UCL) and Jan Van’t Hof (RCE) then conducted a debate on the definition of "Heritage Science". Jan Van’t Hof touched upon several other issues such as the governance and the process rules of the future infrastructure. Francesca Usala (CNR) eventually presented the financial state of the project.

The next E-RIHS PP meeting will be held in London in September 2019.

Post-scriptum :

E-RIHS research infrastructure, now in a preliminatory phase, will provide transnational access to leading technologies, scientific archives, and related methodologies, in the field of Heritage Sciences. It already gathers 20 partners from 17 States.
