SR2A-2014 : First assessment

publié le , mis à jour le

The sixth edition of the international SR2A conference, which took place at
the musée du Louvre from the 9th to the 12th Sept. 2014, has definitively
been a success. It gathered almost 300 people (224 if you except the public
session) from all over the world. 23 countries from 4 continents
were represented by scientists from the distinct types of institutions :
universities, museums, large-scale facilities, research institutes and
private sector.

The 2014 edition of the conference was structured around four sessions :
- Conservation and alteration
- Processes and chaînes opératoires
- New methods and analytical processes
- and, for the first time : palaeontology and palaeo-environments

In addition to this diversity, the event included a
conference open to the public, which gave them an insight into the current
researches. Finally, satellite events were organised such as study visits driven by Louvre curators, a temporary bookshop and a conference dinner at the musée d’Orsay. We would like to thank our
partners and sponsors for their support in the organization of this event.
