The French minister Thierry Mandon came to visit IPANEMA on 23rd March on the occasion of the new cotutelle of IPANEMA by Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and the identification of E-RIHS, European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science, by the ESFRI Roadmap 2016 (official announcement : 10th March) and by the French Roadmap (official announcement : 24th March).

He was accompanied by Jean-Luc Vayssière, president of Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, by representatives of the other IPANEMA cotutelles (Jacques Martino et Gabriel Chardin representing CNRS ; Pascal Liévaux, Astrid Brandt-Grau, Isabelle Pallot-Frossard representing the French ministry of Culture and Communication), as well as Régis Cardoville (representing MNHN), Jean Daillant (CEO of SOLEIL), other partners of IPANEMA, and elected representatives (Maud Olivier, member of parliament for the Essonne department, Faten Hidri, vice-president in charge of Research for the Ile-de-France Region).

This visit gave the laboratory’s members the opportunity to present their work, with special focus on their interdisciplinary character.
Besides, this has been the topic of several official speeches, insisting on its fruitful new dynamics for Research and collaborations.

The minister acknowledged the integration of E-RIHS as one of six projects in the ESFRI Roadmap 2016. Isabelle Pallot-Frossard (C2RMF, MCC) and Loïc Bertrand (IPANEMA, CNRS, MCC, UVSQ) are coordinating together the French participation in E-RIHS.
