IPANEMA is a joint unit of CNRS, Ministère de la Culture, Université Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and Muséum national d’histoire naturelle.

The following institutions have specific long-term agreements with IPANEMA :

The synchrotron SOLEIL

The synchrotron SOLEIL hosts IPANEMA on its site. The high-performing beam lines of Soleil are open to researchers of a large range of disciplines like : physics, chemistry, materials science, life sciences, earth sciences, environmental sciences, ancient materials, etc.
Since 2003 the synchrotron SOLEIL has been supporting projects of all those scientific fields.

Ministry for Education and Research and the Ile-de-France Region (France)

The French Ministry for Education and Research and the Ile-de-France Region financed the construction of the IPANEMA facilities thanks to the CPER program (French State-Region contract) 2007-2013.

NWO and Science4Arts

NWO has been part of IPANEMA’s steering committee since March 30th 2010 and has since then actively been supporting IPANEMA’s development. NWO assists specifically projects that are realized at IPANEMA through open calls launched by Science4Arts, associating NWO, IPANEMA, Getty and NSF.

The Smithsonian Institution (USA)

IPANEMA has a partnership agreement with the Smithsonian Institution in the USA.

Comission européenne

The European Commission is supporting the access of European researchers to IPANEMA through the European Horizon 2020 flagship project IPERION CH (Work Program 2014-2015). For more information about IPERION CH have a look at the official website.
