Pierre Gueriau’s PhD thesis, started in November 2011, focuses on the palaeoecological, palaeoenvironmental and palaeobiogeographical study of the oldest known assemblage of freshwater crustaceans collected from the Late Devonian strata (-365 Myr) of Strud (Belgium). I also investigate on the physico-chemical processes allowing their preservation, as well as for other very-well preserved fossils. This work is supported by the French National Agency under the TERRES project Global Perspectives on the Terrestrialization Process.
