On October 9, students from the MAPE Master’s degree (MAtériaux du patrimoine dans l’Environnement, UPEC) had the opportunity to visit the SOLEIL Synchrotron and IPANEMA as part of their training.
As future heritage specialists, they were able to explore the operation of the accelerator with our colleagues from SOLEIL and attend a presentation of the PUMA beamline, optimized for the analysis of ancient materials, given by Katharina Müller and Clara Hairie. The visit then continued at IPANEMA with Maëva L’Héronde, who discussed the various ongoing research projects in the laboratory.
We warmly thank Anne Chabas, director of the MAPE Master’s program, for her commitment to promoting heritage science among students.
